Win a Case of AMP!

Posted by Ron Ripple in Contest, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Nascar

Ron Ripple ContestI mentioned in yesterday’s article that I would come up with a contest for a chance to win a prize.  Living up to my promise, I got on the horn with the guys over at www.EnergyThis.com and asked if they would donate a case of energy drinks.  Without hesitation they said yes and here we are officially kicking off Ron Ripple’s first contest!!!  What better energy drink to give away in our first contest then a case of AMP Energy Drink… perfect because of Dale Earnhardt Jr and the new AMP car.

Let’s get to the rules already!  The raffle will be Thursday, February 22nd. The winner of the raffle will win a free case of AMP Energy Drinks shipped right to their door front.  The key to this contest is to enter as many times as you’d like.  There are three ways to enter this contest.  The first is by subscribing to my blog (enter your email address at the top right), the second is by posting a comment on one of my always entertaining articles, and the third is by writing an article on your blog about the contest.   There is no limit on how many entries you can have, 10 comments on 10 different articles = 10 entries, write an article on your blog about our contest = 20 entries.  It’s all on how badly you want it!

 Contest Rules:

  • Subscribe to my blog. (1 Subscription = 1 Entry)
  • Post comments on my aritcles but make sure they are relevant to the article (spam = disqualified). (1 Post = 1 Entry) (No SPAM)
  • Drop an EntreCard (1 Drop = 1 Entry)
  • Write an article on your blog about the contest and make sure to link it to this page. (1 Article = 20 Entries)

The deadline for this contest is February 22nd, which is one week after the Daytona 500.  I’m extremely excited about the contest and I hope you enjoy it as well.

 GOOD LUCK MY RON RIPPLERS!

Dale Earnhardt Jr and the #88

Posted by Ron Ripple in Dale Earnhardt Jr, Nascar

Dale Earnhardt #88There’s been a lot of opinions about Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his teams decision to purchase the #88 from the Yates team previously used by Dale Jarrett. Some people love the new number because it’s similar to his old number, and some people hate it because the #88 has always been associated with Dale Jarrett. In my opinion I think that numbers are numbers and if you’re a true NASCAR fan like I am then who cares. If Dale Earnhardt Jr. wanted to race a car with the number 000283 on the side then let him do it. The only real problem I would see is if a fan wanted to get that number tattoed on their chest or if they wanted to put it on the back of their car. It might be kinda long!

Fans piss me off when they critque and go over the top about stupid things. I guess every fan is different and every fan is passionate about different things. But I’ve read a lot of blogs and websites where people are turning their back on Dale because he’s switching not only numbers but also sponsors. Who cares if he switches from the #8 Budweiser car to the #88 Mountain Dew/AMP car… you should like the driver and the personality of the driver, not the number on the side of his car or the sponsor that is paying big bucks to be a part of his team. As long as Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the same guy and doesn’t go and get a new personality or driving skills then I think everyone should calm down. If anything, change is a good thing. It may spark up a championship season. We’ll just have to wait and see.

How passionate are you about this new change?

I’m with this guy…
