Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch express their Love!

Posted by Ron Ripple in Carl Edwards, Entertaining, Kyle Busch, Nascar Racing, Penalties

Last weekend in the final laps of the Sharpie 500, Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch decided they wanted to start showing each other how they really feel.  Carl Edwards worked all night trying to pass Kyle Busch but just couldn’t seem to get him on the high side.  During the last few laps Carl Edwards dipped into the corner and taped Kyle’s left rear bumper causing him to lose control and allowing Carl to slide by gaining the lead.

Carl Edwards went on to win the race but not without getting into a little pushing match with Kyle Busch.  After Carl Edwards got the checkered flag, Kyle Busch drove up beside him and rubbed the side of his car.  “The Nice Guy” Carl Edwards immediately drove into Busch and spun him out.  The crowd went absolutely CRAZY.  It was awesome to see some drama go down on the track.  It’s not too often these days you see emotion on the track.

In a post race interview Carl Edwards says “It’s one of those deals where I couldn’t get by him, I couldn’t get by him, and I just had to ask myself, ‘Would he do that to me?’

Of course Kyle Busch would do that to him… he’s been doing it all season.

The funniest part about this little drama is that after the race, Kyle Busch was seen whining like a little girl saying “wittle Cawl Edwads pwushed me.”  If you ask me… I think Kyle Busch gets what he deserves… karma’s a bitch and if you can dish it out, then you need to learn how to take it.

Check out the drama unfold

NASCAR just announced that both drivers were slapped on the hand and were given probation for the next 6 races.  If anything… I think the two should be patted on the back for creating an exciting ending to an awesome race.  NASCAR needs to commend these two racers for showing their feelings and creating an exciting rivalry.  NASCAR needs more moments like this…. this is what gets fans on their feet.

Kyle Busch is an incredible racer but if you haven’t noticed, when he’s the bad guy he’s loving life.  He’ll go out there tap bumpers, spin people out, race rough, and walk around the pits like he’s God’s gift to NASCAR.  But the minute someone else bumps him or passes him aggressively the kid starts whining.  “Cawl Edwads, Cawl Edwads… he bumped me, he bumped me!”  Save the drama for the track and show “Cawl Edwads” that you’re supposed to be the “bad guys” and that he needs to go back to being the “Nice Guy”

I’m jacked up to watch the rest of the season… it’s going to be an awesome race for the chase.  I think Carl Edwards is going to be a force to be reckened with.  It seems as though he’s the only one that has Kyle Busch’s number.

I can’t wait to watch the rest of the season unfold.  So what do you guys think?  Is Kyle Busch a whiner or is he in the “right” here?

Jenn Sterger – Girl of the Week

Posted by Ron Ripple in Girl of the Week!, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, NASCAR's Hotties, Picks

Jenn Sterger - Ron Ripple's Girl of the Day

Jenn Sterger… what a beautiful NASCAR fan we have here.  I met Jenn Sterger at a Florida State football game a few years ago.  I started the day out extremely excited because I had front row seats to the Florida vs. Florida State football game.  As I walked up to my seat I was getting pretty agitated because I noticed there was someone sitting in it… turns out it was Jenn Sterger, the infamous FSU Cow Girl, so I didn’t complain.  We ended up sharing the seat the whole game and it was great publicity for me because when she was on camera… I was on camera.  Yeah… I tried to slip a kiss in there a few times but there was always a big play right when I went to make my move…  so I never got my chance.   Turns out the chick loves NASCAR and even attends some races.  so here’s her little bio…

Clint Bowyer is in the Chase!

Posted by Ron Ripple in Nascar, Nascar Racing, Rumor Mill

Clint BoyerYes Clint Bowyer is officially in the 12th position and back in the chase… but what I’m really talking about is Bowyer chasing down drivers in New Hampshire and handing out tickets.  What was Clint Bowyer doing chasing people and pulling them over?  Has he quit racing and become a police officer?

Nope… but he did help the New Hampshire State Police yesterday pull over law abiding citizens and handed out not citations, but tickets to attend the Sylvania 300 on September 14th.

Clint Bowyer did a ride along with New Hampshire State Police and handed out tickets for those drivers abiding the new “Move Over” law New Hampshire set in place just this year.  He pulled over a number of motorists that moved over and slowed down when they saw official emergency vehicles in the breakdown lane.

Clint Bowyer knows a little bit about slowing down when there’s an emergency… this past weekend he got caught up in a multi-car crash late in the race but ended up working his way back to the front and securing a top 10 finish.

I believe the New Hampshire State police would have issued him a citation for following too closely and not leaving enough “braking” room to prevent an accident… but luckily for him, nobody called the cops. haha

Clint’s got his work cut out for him this coming weekend in California.  In his career, he’s only had one top 5 finish at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California, so it looks like he’s got a lot of work to do.  Bowyer hasn’t been a big threat at the big tracks but they’re looking to at least secure a solid position and set themselves up for a win at the Sylvania 300 where he’s the defending champion.

Bowyer looks like he’s making his way back into the points… do you think he has a chance or is he going to get beat out by Kahne, Newman, or Ragan?

Save the Drama for Bristol

Posted by Ron Ripple in Carl Edwards, Nascar, Nascar Racing, Tony Stewart

Ever heard the saying… Save the drama for yo momma? It’s safe to say that Nascar racers save the drama for Bristol, and it just so happens that this weekend is short track racing in the ever drama filled Bristol. Get ready for head spinning, fingering flicking, helmet throwing, thrills and drama spills as we get ready for the newly resurfaced, half mile race on Saturday Night.

Rumors around the pits are that drivers are excited to race on the Bristol track again with the option to not only race on the top line but also get low and actually have equal speed!!! what? I’ll make this short and sweet, I already purchased a case of my favorite beer I’ve picked up my race snacks and called up the boys to meet. I’m feeling Kenseth this weekend, Carl Edwards of course will be strong and we can’t ever count out Kyle Buschy boy. Who do I pick to be the most dramatic? I’m going with Tony Stewart.. we haven’t heard from my boy in a while and I am sensing some aggressiveness coming as he’ll be bumping and grinding. We will see!

Who are your picks and why? I didnt give you a reason why I’m picking Kenseth but I’m expecting you to have a reason of why you’re picking who you’re picking. I reckon I can let you know after I hear some of your guys’ thoughts. Who will be in the center of the drama?

Carl Edwards has Busch’s number!

Posted by Ron Ripple in Carl Edwards, Nascar Racing, Rumor Mill

Just when you thought Kyle Busch was going to dominate again… Carl Edwards takes the checkered flag.  I’ve said this before… nice guys don’t always finish last, especially when it comes to Carl Edwards.  He’s making this his 5th Sprint Cup win of the season and has backed up the reason of why he’s sitting pretty in second place overall.

Carl Edwards lifted his leg this weekend and “marked” his territory after winning both the Nationwide series race as well as the Sprint Cup race.  He becomes the second driver to ever win both races in one weekend at the Michigan track, Mark Martin did it in 1993.

Kyle Busch ran an incredible race yesterday afternoon and set himself up to win until they pitted on lap 180 out of 200.  Just when you think NASCAR is only about RACING on the track… nope… yesterday’s advantage went to Carl Edwards because his crew ”out raced” Kyle Busch’s crew and got Carl out on the track quicker.

After Carl and Kyle’s pit, they enter the track with Dale Earnhardt Jr and David Ragan running 1-2.  Once Carl Edwards passed them, he continued to stay in front and held Kyle Busch off till the end.

Kyle Busch said in his post race interview that he had nothing for Carl Edwars.  He said “Carl came off the corners a lot quicker and he did his best to stay close to him.  Overall we just didn’t have the car this weekend, Carl Edwards ran a great race.”

It was another great win for Carl Edwards and it allowed him to execute his famous backflip he’s been performing all year.  There’s a rumor going around the pits that Carl Edwards has been training with the U.S. Olympic team of Paul and Morgan Hamm, which has allowed him to perfect his backflip.  Also there are rumors going around that if Carl Edwards wins the Championship this year, he will attempt a double back hand spring with a flip into a twist double double twist flip and land on his hands. (I hope he wins because I can’t wait to see what the hell this is.)

All I know is yesterday was a great race and I was glad to see Carl Edwards out there winning.  Whatever flips he attempts it’s better than what I can do.  The only hand stands you’ll be seeing me do is one off a keg… we call it the keg stand.

———————————————————–

Great racing to all… there were a lot of disappointments this weekend for the top 12 racers.  Kasey Khane had engine failure which caused him to finish in 4oth place, dropped him down to 11th overall in the points standings.  Hamlin who finished in 39th dropped down to 12th position in the points standings… now on the bubble.

Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson had a rough weekend as well.  Both were involved in a three car fender bender that punctured Johnson’s tire giving him a 17th place finish.  Jeff Gordon didn’t feel the fender bender drama till later in the race when his tire then punctured making him hit the wall.  He finished 42nd which dropped him in the overall points from 6th place down to 9th place.

There was a lot of movement in the overall standings…

M.I.R… Most Improved Racer this season!

Posted by Ron Ripple in Hot Wives Club, Jimmie Johnson

This season there has been a number of “stand out” racers who have “wowed” the world with their incredible runs as well as their domination over the field.  There has also been a number of racers who have started out slow but have made their way back to the top and showed the world they’re the real deal Hollyfield.

Who do I think is the stand out M.I.R?  And why does this driver deserve the M.I.R. award I’m about to give him?

Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson started this 2008 season as if he was a rookie learning how to drive a car.  He didn’t know the gas pedal from the brake pedal and I think he even skipped a few gears going from 2nd gear to 4th.  Overall the driver’s first 6 races were as if he didn’t know how to turn left.  If you were new to NASCAR you wouldn’t even know who Jimmie Johnson was, let alone know he is the defending two time Champion.

Midway through this season he started jumping up in the top ten and sometimes in the top 5, but he would still have a few races where he finished 20th or even 30th.  The driver has been a roller coaster of a racer and one you wouldn’t want to put your money on.

The reason why Jimmie Johnson deserves this prestigious award is because the man has come from mediocre to 3rd place.  He’s still not beating the main man Kyle Busch but as the saying goes… “he’s a close third.”

Another reason why I picked Jimmie Johnson as my M.I.R. is because of his hot wife.  It allows me to post yet another picture of Chandra Johnson.

 Here she is!

Chandra Johnson

uhhh… what’s this article about?

Not to change the subject again… but who is your M.I.R. of the 2008 season and why do you think they deserve the award.

Marianna Sherman - Ron Ripple’s Girl of the Week

Marianna Sherman…whoaaaa boy! Marianna is a beautiful girl I met one day drinking a few beers at Hooters.  She was our waitress for the night and interestingly enough she told me I had to be one of the most “interesting looking rednecks” she’s ever seen.  Of course I take that as a compliment because girls tell me that all the time… so I asked her out on a date, and as of right now I’m still waiting.  Either she gave me the wrong number or she just needs to turn her phone back on… I’m still confused.  But anyway… here’s a little bit about her and why she loves NASCAR so much!

Name: Marianna Sherman

Age: 21

School or Occupation: hooter girl, I attend GA perimeter for nursing.

Hometown: Lithuania. ( Former USSR)

Favorite NASCAR racer: Jeff Gordon

What’s your favorite track? Daytona 500

What’s your favorite part about NASCAR? The accidents as long as no one gets hurt!

What’s the fastest you’ve ever been in a car? 115 mph. I was driving back from Panama City and got a ticket!

What are your hobbies? Sleeping, eating, going out with my girls, shopping, and driving fast!

Favorite Drink: vodka pineapple.

What is the worst pick up line a guy has ever used on you? “Did it hurt?” I said what? And he said “when you fell from the sky, because you’re an angel!”

What do you look for in a guy? Motivated, confident, tall, good looking because that’s what attracts me at first and then his personality is usually what keeps me around!

What is a turn off? Lack of confidence, immature.

Are you a fan of my mullet? Mullets are sexy…only on you tho!

Are you single? Happily taken

Where can we find you? www.myspace.com/mypuppysnameistequila

Kyle Busch was in a slump?

Posted by Ron Ripple in Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Nascar, Tony Stewart, Uncategorized

Just when you think Kyle Busch is in a so called “Slump,” the kid comes out and dominates another road course.  Watkins Glen was an incredible race and one you did not want to miss.

So we all know Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon were saying they saw weakness in the no. 18 car over the past couple races, well let me just say… THEY WERE WRONG.  Just because Kyle Busch didn’t dominate the field in the last couple races doesn’t mean the driver is in a slump.   He came out this weekend and showed the field exactly what they didn’t want to see… “the back of Kyle Busch’s no. 18 car!”

Watkins Glen was a pretty tame race overall until lap 86 when there was a huge pile up sending Bobby Labonte to the hosipital and a 45 minute race delay.  Bobby Labonte was complaining of sore ribs and was later released.

The wreck started when contact was made by Michael McDowell which sent David Gilliland’s Ford spinning out of control into the guardrail. Sam Hornish Jr. slid sideways into the barrier of sand barrels dividing the racetrack from pit road… from there it was a huge pile up including Michael Waltrip, Dave Blaney, Joe Nemechek, Max Papis and Reed Sorenson.

All were released from the infield medical center but it delayed the race 45 minutes.  The race then re-started on lap 86 with Kyle Busch racing to the finish and getting the win on the 90th and final lap.  About 3 seconds behind Kyle Busch was his team mate Tony Stewart who has a solid finish but still continues his 36 race winless streak.

You all know Tony Stewart is one of my favorite drivers of all time… even though he hasn’t won a race in 36 races.  I do have to admit though… he seems to be losing his attitude and his “I’ll say what’s on my mind” reputation.  I think he’s setting himself up to be a leader for his new team Stewart Haas Racing.

It seems as though Stewart is not only losing his attitude but it’s almost as though he’s giving it to Kyle Busch.  Kyle Busch comes off the track and says “Tony was faster than me only at the “bus stop” chicane, but nowhere else on the track.”  and Tony Stewart comes off the track saying “I’m real happy with this second place finish, I didn’t have anything for my team mate Kyle Busch, he ran a great race.”

I dont’ know who’s telling my boy Tony Stewart to be nice and respectful, but whoever it is needs to let him be who he is.  Overall it was a good race to watch…. Kyle Busch obviously made the chase… Tony Stewart also bettered himself in the points… so overall I’m a happy fan.

By the way… Craig… i’m sure you’re happy with Montoya’s finish this weekend.  He finally finished better than 41st place. haha!!!

Who’s your team and who are you rooting for to make the chase?

Lisa Hanerfeld – Ron Ripple’s Girl of the Week

Lisa Hanfeld - Ron Ripple Girl of the Week

Lisaaaaa Hanerfeld…. whew!  I met Lisa one night while out in a bar up in New York.  I was up there visiting a couple buddies and some how they talked me into going to this “fancy wancy” sissy bar where everyone was wearing slacks and sipping on martinis.   Well the only “good” thing I got out of going to that bar was meeting this lovely lady named Lisa.  I was mesmorized the moment I met her and even though she was a big tease…. she still won my heart.  Long story short she was the only girl in the bar who would talk to a “man” with wrangler jeans and a mullet.  So here’s a few things you should know about Lisa.
