Teams not in Top 35!!!
Posted on March 24th, 2008 by Ron Ripple under NascarIf you’ve read some of my posts in the past, you obviously know I’m not a big fan of the Top 35. In my opinion teams come out to each and every race busting their asses trying to make it to Sunday’s race day. Well it’s about that time to find out who’s NOT in the top 35 and among those are some great drivers. Here’s the list:

One of the Teams on the chopping block is Petty Enterprises. They’ve had a tough time this year so far and they’ve got a tough decision to make. They’re sitting in the 40th position and they’ve got to figure out a way to get back in to the top 35. Right now they’re trying to figure out what’s going to be the best scenario for them to get back up in the ranks and Rumor has it they may put Terry Labonte in the car for Martinsville so they have a better chance. The good news is Kyle Petty is a team player and will do whatever it takes to get his team back in the top.
Now is crunch time! No more tailgating, no more beer funnels or keg stands or drinking beer before the race. These teams need to go back to the drawing board and crunch some numbers or do whatever they do. To me the bottom teams are going to be fun to watch as well. They’re not racing for 1st place in points… they’re just racing to start on Sundays!

Honestly, how is Kyle Petty still racing? He has a hard time finishing races and when he has, when was the last time he was a threat. He definately is not doing the Petty name justice.

I’m in agree-ance with you Ron, some kick ass names in there. Bad luck in the beginning of this season can put you on your ass and put you out of the season.
Ryan I’m with you there man. Kyle Petty needs to stick with his dad and strictly take people for rides in their cars and keep the schools going.

It will be interesting to see how this whole non-point team thing works out this year. Ron, you may want to start a contest to see who might be able to pick the team/driver that makes the most? ! Dale Dodge Jr
