Comments Now Get Recognized!
Posted on February 1st, 2008 by Ron Ripple under Entertaining, NascarI recently added a new feature on my blog as I realize that my personal rants and comments aren’t the only ones that matter. If you are as passionate about NASCAR as I am, I’m recognizing ya’ll. If you look at the side bar to the right you’ll notice a section called “Top NASCAR Commentators.” This is where the people with the most comments will be listed. So for those of you who visit my site frequently and have something to say, you will OFFICIALLY be recognized. I hope you all enjoy this new feature and I look forward to sharing the latest NASCAR rants. Now somebody get me a Beer!
Also we would like to welcome FatHead.com as a sponsor/supporter of www.RonRipple.com.. If you’re looking for a monster wall poster of your favorite NASCAR Driver or their car… Be sure to visit FatHead by clicking on the ad below!

Your local scene is the best place to start. Get your band and start going to jam and open mic nights at the pubs around your area. Get to know the people that go there. If people know you they will support you.

I’ve had a photoblog for a few months and I know I’ve had about 10,000 hits or so, but just 2 comments. I know people rarely leave comments on photoblogs (unless maybe they’re your friends).

Does anyone have an idea where I could post requests for comments for example, by announcing it on a forum or group without seeming pushy?

what you can do though, if you don’t end up figuring it out, is hide your comments and then post a link in your profile so people can read your comments.

My MySpace comment box displays 25 comments, and that is way to much. How do I make it display less? I know it is possible-because I set it to 25 a long time ago.

Personally I don’t talk to my plants. I just love the look of them. It’s not really the talking it is just you might talk while caring for them and the care is what makes them do better.

I’ve been known to threaten a plant with extinction if it doesn’t shape up and grow right. I don’t know if it helps the plant or not but it makes me feel better.

just go to customize profile and then hover over the comments module, where you can select exactly how many comments you want to display on your profile (much easier)…

Someone makes a comment on Facebook. Maybe they won an award. I add my comment, which is \\"Congratulations.\\" Then other people after me leave their own comments.

Problem is, every time one of those people leave a comment, I get an email saying “So and So commented on your friend’s status.” How can I deactivate these email alerts specifically? I don’t need to know that other people congratulated him too.

I had this same issue when I opened my Facebook account. The default setting is to notify you anytime anyone comments on anything.

Read up on the subject before you get to class and really think about it ahead of time. Don’t just think about te literal interpretation-see if you can come up with how it could apply to your life or compare it to something else.

If you know you are having one of these discussions, write down at least 4-5 questions/comments before you go to class. That way even if someone else takes one of yours you still have a couple of backups. And if the teacher calls on you you aren’t trying to think of something impressive on the spot.

Rather than people having to click on a comments link, i’d like my comments to appear on the page without having to click on a link.

I went into privacy settings and theres only an option for comments the I leave, not comments left on my wall.

Remember, these are professionals and they won’t put up with rantings. You’ll need to have some mathematical background to your thoughts and not just far out ideas.
